What the heck is spray tanning?

You may have wondered how celebrities get that marvelous tan no matter whatever the season may be. The secret: airbrush tanning! Airbrush sunless tanning is one of the healthiest options to get a tan. You might walk into a salon pale-skinned, but come out with a gorgeous healthy glow...AND good for your conscience. Tanning actually takes place when your skin gets exposed to the sun. The reaction is the production of pigments (melanin) the skin to protect itself from the sun's UV rays.

In case of airbrush tanning, a compressor and airbrush tool are used to apply the tanning solution. The active ingredient in all tanning products on the market and in airbrush tanning solution is DHA, a sugar cane or beet extract. The bronzing effect is all natural and reacts to the epidermis layer of the skin. Airbrush tanning provides no any UV protection and last 6-10 days if properly care for.

Though you can get a tan done at airbrush tanning salons, it would be nice if you can get it done in the privacy of your own home. This is where mobile tanning comes in! Convenient, private and a spa treatment in your own home.

  1. Guess what…- I’m already using a Peau d'or ‘s product for tanning and am really liking the results. Recently, I came across your review about spray tanning- Hey, this is what I was looking for…. I’ve gone through many websites and have read many reviews regarding this unique technique. …. Besides what attracts me is the fact that the spray tan solution is organic and derived from sugar cane or beets. So, its natural…….Furthermore, it is sprayed only on the top layer skin. My mom used to shout at me for using all those tanning creams. Now, I’m sure she won’t stop me from using this unique method as this is not at all detrimental for my health.. Thanks a ton.
